CardPatterns Sketch #70

Hi everyone! So glad you stopped in today! Many thanks for all the anniversary wishes yesterday! We had a wonderful day!

Today's card is for the sketch challenge at CardPatterns. Check out those cute scalloped edges!

I finally decided to get PTI's Butterfly Dreams and the coordinating die. I don't know why I waited so long, as this has been at the top of my list since it was released. I wanted this to be a cheerful get well card, so I chose some spring-like colors. I'm learning to love Lemon Tart, though it has been a slow warm-up!

The butterflies were stamped with Dark Chocolate ink onto Vintage Cream cardstock, then colored with Copics. I stamped two different leafy images from the Life set with Clearsnap Lettuce ink and PTI's Ripe Avocado. The sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages.

I used the Linen & Canvas impression plate on the Lemon Tart cardstock layer and stitched the edges so it wouldn't look like it was just laying there! And I have to say how much I love the PTI medium scallop border die and how perfectly proportioned it is for an A2 card.

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, Vintage Cream), Bazzill (kraft)
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Butterfly Dreams, Life, Mega Mixed Messages)
Ink: Papertrey Ink (Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado), Clearsnap (Lettuce), Copics
Tools: Papertrey Ink (butterfly die, scallop border die, Linen & Canvas plate), McGill (tag punch), Fiskars (hole punch)
Accessories: Papertrey Ink (buttons), Pebbles Inc. (twine), thread

That's all for now! I hope to see you back here soon!

Christina!!!! I LOOOOOVE your card!!! It's sooo pretty! :) Butterfly dreams was also on the top of my list and I've been waiting awhile before I got it. But I'm so glad you said that about the scallop border die because now I really want to get it!! :)

Your card is absolutely crisp and stunning! I love how you used the scallop die to create the frame. I'm totally stealing that idea, by the way. :)

Ooh where do you get your Copics by the way? Since I don't know much about it I thought I would get the coordinating ones from PTI...
