Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 34

Welcome back for another round of the Curtain Call Color Challenge! This week Stacey has a "handsome" color combo for us just in time for Father's Day. For all the details on this week's challenge and to post your entry, don't forget to visit Stacey's Stamping Stage!

I also used sketch 142 from Mojo Monday.

I stamped a vintage truck image from Stampers Anonymous with Versamark onto white cardstock, then heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I would have preferred to keep the image a matte charcoal gray, but I didn't have any gray ink. But the metallic sheen on the truck does add an interesting element to the design.

Cardstock: Bazzill (kraft, purple, gray), Papertrey Ink (Terracotta Tile), Michaels (white)
Stamps: Stampers Anonymous (truck), Papertrey Ink (Masculine Motifs)
Ink: Versamark, Clearsnap (Creamy Brown chalk ink, Black pigment ink)
Tools: EK Success (notebook border punch), Fiskars (flourish border punch), Papertrey Ink (Linen & Canvas impression plate)
other: Hampton Art (embossing powder), (wood button), (twine)

I ran the sand colored cardstock through my Big Shot with the Linen & Canvas impression plate from PTI (so in LOVE with this plate!). I also inked the edges of the panels with Creamy Brown ink. A wooden button tied with jute twine adds interest without being frilly.

Here's the inside of the card, with just the truck stamped in Versamark off the edge of the sand colored cardstock.

The Curtain Call Crew has samples to show you today, too, so make sure you stop by to see: Amy White at Devlinwhite Designs

...then play along with us and post your Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 34 creation using Mr. Linky at Stacey's Stamping Stage.

Hope you enjoyed my take on the Curtain Call colors this week! I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
