A Week of Thanks and Giving--Day 1

Hi friends!

You've picked a great day to visit, as I'm kicking off the first day of a week-long celebration that I'm calling A Week of Thanks and Giving.  This is my chance to say "thank you" to all of my loyal readers, followers, and friends who make blogging so rewarding.  I appreciate each and every one of your visits, comments, emails, and votes of confidence!

As you might have guessed, it wouldn't be a Week of Thanks and Giving without the giving, so I'm offering up a little prize today.  I have an extra copy of Paper Crafts' Holiday Cards & More, which just happens to include one of my cards on page 41.

What do you need to do to win?  Just leave me a comment telling me whether you plan to send handmade holiday greetings this year.  The contest will end on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:59 pm EST.  The randomly selected winner will be announced here on my blog Friday, November 25.  This contest is open to everyone, including my international readers!

Thanks again for stopping by today!  And don't forget to come back tomorrow for another giveaway, as the party continues up until Thanksgiving!

Have a great day, friends!

This will be the 2nd year that I hand make my holiday cards. I love crafting and what better way to share doing what I love with the people that I love. =)

Oh, yes, I definitely am planning to. I keep adding the cards I make throughout the year to my stash and by the time I need to mail them, the majority will be ready to go. Thanks for the chance to win. :)

Oh I'd love a copy of the magazine and nope, as I said on my blog post the idea of mass producing cards totally stresses me out. So while I'm sure I'll make a few tags and maybe some handmade goodies, no handmade Christmas cards from this family.

Congrats on being published :) I do make some cards, but also send out some bought ones if I run out of time. Thanks for the chance to win :)

congrats on another publication. It is the first holiday season since I started paper crafting. I have very limited time since I work and have two little ones. I am still going to use printed photo cards. But I will make some handmade cards to send along with the photo cards. Thanks for the giveaway.

I will make handmade Christmas cards for family and special friends, but use store bought ones for those that might not appreciate the work that goes into cardmaking. LOVE your blog - it inspires me so much!

I have a few cards in this issue but never received the magazine. :{ Sure would love to win one! I don't handmake my greetings, but rather I do edit a photo in photoshop and add a greeting to it, to make my own photo holiday cards, does that count?

I usually make handmade cards (because I love to!) for everyone but this year, I'm going the easier route by ordering some photo cards. I'm involved in a HUGE project at work right now so time is at a premium this year!
Congrats on being published!

You're a sweetie for sharing, and I've not even had the chance to peruse this issue yet! I'll be sending a mixture of both hand-made and store-bought cards, AND eCards!

Yes!! I send handmade Christmas cards each year :) I send my special friends detailed ones and then have about 3 or 4 designs of mass production ones (really, only about 4 of each). Would love to see a lovely card from you in this issue!! Hurray for international commenters! LOL

I am determined to send handmade holiday greetings this year! Usually I'm so busy making them for everyone else that I don't send any of my own. Must change that!

Thank you for playing Santa this week with the generous giveaways!

We send Christmas cards every year. Even when things are tight, we still send our Christmas cards.

You know, I tried one or two years to make cards to send out and it was just overwhelming so now I usually go the photo card route. I am planning to do a photo card again this year too.

That must be an honour for every stamplady to get published in the magazine. Everytime I stay in the States I picked up the magazines to bring them to my home. Here they are so expensive.
I have sent a lot of Christmas cards to my daughter, staying in the States for one year to have a personal gift for her friends there.
thank you for the great bog candy.
hugs and smiles Conny

I am working on a variety of homemade cards in preparation for the holidays. I see so many great designs and between work, friends, and family probably send or give out about 100 cards. I love the opportunity to make 5-8 of each my favorites so my sets can see some ink!

I always send out a few, homemade, holiday cards; but having to make lots and lots for the number of people I'd need to send to, takes the joy out of paper crafting for me. So, I stick to family letters and photographs, so no one feels left out. Happy Thanksgiving, Christina!

It just depends on how early a start I get on it. I like to make homemade Christmas cards but it differs from year to year. I always make homemade ones for my closest family and friends. Sometimes, I just don't make too many because it takes the fun out of it if I stress over it. Christmas shouldn't be about stress, right?
