Power outage--be back soon!

Hi there, friends!

If you haven't heard, we had a bit of a snowstorm last night here in New England.  Unfortunately, my neighborhood is without power, our city has cancelled school tomorrow in order to use one of the schools as a shelter, and Halloween trick-or-treating has been postponed until Wednesday.  Seriously?!  I had to ask my husband once again why we moved to MA.  LOL!

I'm at work right now catching up on a few projects, then heading up to my MIL's in Maine until we get power back.  I hope to have internet access so I can at least catch up with what's been happening in blog land over the weekend.

I'd hate for you to leave empty-handed, so I thought I'd share this masculine card I made for my hubby's cousin, who turned 16 this past August.

All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless noted
Cardstock:  Enchanted Evening, Orange Zest, Kraft, white
Stamps:  Just the Ticket, Star Prints
Ink:  Frost White (Clearsnap), Spiced Marmalade (Ranger), white gel pen
Tools:  ticket border die, Limitless Layers die, Linen & Canvas impression plate, star punch (Fiskars)
Accessories:  button, twine, embossing powder (Stampendous)

Thanks for stopping by tonight!  I hope to be back soon!

My step son is in New York and they have a bunch of snow and the keep losing power as well. That stinks for the little ones. I lived in Bath, Maine when I was very little. :)

Bummer! I hope the power comes back on quickly! So weird that you guys are getting snow and we're still running the ac! I'm really ready for it to cool off!

Christina...I'm without power too! (And I don't have work today because the schools are closed) I was hoping that I would be able to go to your house today for power, hehe. Oh well....

No power or internet or phone for us either, friend! Hope you're all doing okay in Maine! We're not supposed to get electricity back until Thursday. I asked my husband the same question - how ridiculous does the weather need to get before we decide to pack it up? LOL! Love your card too - the orange and blue look lovely together!

I hope you're relaxing a bit up in Maine, and that you get your power back soon! No Halloween until Wednesday is a huge bummer. This card is not, though. :) Love the color combo and all that glorious stamping!

This is a great masculine card, Christina. It's perfect for a 16 year old! I love how you stamps the row of tickets on the diagonal on the kraft paper. And the colors are "delicious" together! Hope you get power back very soon, and that the kids didn't mind too much that Trick or Treating has been postponed. Disappointed, though, I'm sure. Stay safe and warm.
