ColourQ #71

Hello there, friends!  It's another snowy day here, and I'm beginning to think winter will never end!  But Arielle has helped to warm things up with a lovey-dovey, sweet color combo for this week's ColourQ challenge.

I loved the faux embossing technique I used on this card so much that I decided to do it again.  I punched the little hearts and glued them onto the same color cardstock, arranged in a gradient on the kraft card base.

For the focal image, I layered a die cut frame over a Martha Stewart doily and embellished it with a punched heart, heat-embossed sentiment and flourish, and a button.  To finish off the card, I added some uneven stitching at the top and bottom.

Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! (Blushing Bride, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette), Bazzill (kraft), Papertrey Ink (white)
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink (Fillable Frames #10, Fancy Flourishes, Mega Mixed Messages)
Ink:  Clearsnap (Frost White)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Fillable Frames #10 die), Marvy Uchida (large heart punch), Martha Stewart (heart confetti punch)
Accessories:  Martha Stewart (doily tag), Stampendous (white embossing powder), button, DMC floss, thread

There are more lovely projects over at the ColourQ blog today, so be sure to stop by to be inspired, then link up your creation using the challenge colors.

Thanks for stopping by this morning!  I'm off to tend to my sick kids and (maybe) get a little stamping done while they rest.  Enjoy your Tuesday!

This is gorgeous!! Ok, I try to read what everyone writes on their blogs when I can but I have to admit that I am way behind on commenting so I'm allowing myself to enjoy the cards and skim the words. I thought that this was embossed too until Amy's comment caught my eye!! WOW!! This does look embossed!! Lovely effect and it turned out gorgeous!!
