Curtain Call Act 69 & Mojo Monday 177

Hello there, friends!  How is the weekend treating you?  I hope you've carved out some time in the week ahead to play along with the latest Curtain Call Color Challenge!  I paired up this week's colors with the sketch at Mojo Monday, which I turned on its side.

The photo and colors inspired me to make one more Valentine.  I saw the triangle in the sketch as the bottom of a heart and took a few liberties to adjust the rest of the sketch to my idea, but I hope you can still see it in there.  I used a spray adhesive to attach the heart doily to a hand cut Cherry Cobbler heart.

Can you believe this is the first time I've made a card with a banner?  To make it, I die cut a border with PTI's Victorian Lace die from Real Red cardstock and cut it apart into "flags".  Each section is backed with kraft cardstock stamped with text.

I stamped two flowers from Verve's Dream Big, cut them out and layered them with over some punched leaves.  The sentiment is also from Dream Big.

Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! (Cherry Cobbler, Real Red), Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream), Bazzill (kraft)
Patterned paper:  Stampin' Up! (Neutrals DSP)
Stamps:  Verve (Dream Big), Papertrey Ink (Background Basics:  Text Style)
Ink:  Clearsnap (Chianti, Cranberry), Ranger (Antique Linen)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Victorian Lace border die), Martha Stewart (leaf punch)
Accessories:  Royal Lace (heart doily), Papertrey Ink (jute twine), thread

The Curtain Call Crew has samples to share, too, so stop by and see:

...and February Guest Designer, Laurie Willison, then link up your creation using this week's colors.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great Sunday!

Christina, you ALWAYS amaze me....how you are able to pull off beautifully several challenges with just one card! Your banner is fabulous with that text behind it and your altered Mojo layout. I gave this sketch a go for my card today but I just couldn't work it out....you sure did!

Christina this card is fabo and I love how you interpreted the challenge!

Hey wanna know something funny? Remember my post to you a few days back saying how my Janome Sew Mini was broken? Well I took it into my Janome store here to get it looked at and I am SO embarrassed to say that the problem was purely with me.........I had my bobbin in upside down which was causing the jamming! roflol

Oh WOW Christina, what you've done with the Victorian Lace die looks AMAZING!!!! All of the elements of this card, the striped background, the heart doily, the flower, the way you've stitched the sentiment onto the heart, all of it makes for a truly FABULOUS card!!

Oh my goodness, look at that victorian banner! How clever are you?! Love this card--the doily, the banner, the colors and even how the striped BG paper mimics the beadboard in the photo! FAB work as usual! {hugs}

Sooo pretty, I love the one large flower stamp in the front, if I am correct, is that a Close to my Heart stamp?

Isn't this a fabulous colour combo ... I just love it. And .. you did such a wonderful job with it. How creative to think of a heart instead of a triangle! I wish I could learn to think outside the square like that! Hugs xxaxx
