The 12 Kits of Christmas--October

Due to the East Coast storm on Monday, the October 12 Kits of Christmas post was delayed, but it's finally here!

Our hostess this month is Jessica, and she sent us a kit stuffed with images and sentiments from Paper Smooches and papers from My Mind's Eye.

This kit was an absolute delight to work with, as I have many PS stamp sets but none of the holiday sets (yet!).  I made three cards and three tags this month, but as always I've saved some supplies for CASEing the rest of the gals.  :)

First up is an adorable image from Santa Paws.  Jessica included a Polaroid die cut in the kit, and I just knew I had to put Santa inside it.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Aqua Mist, White)
Patterned paper:  My Mind's Eye (Merry)
Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Santa Paws, Joyful Greetings)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Fabulous Frames die), Stampin' Up! (label punch)
Other:  The Twinery (baker's twine)

I just love the Swanky Snowdudes, and this guy was begging to be placed in a window.  I added the snowfall behind him using an aqua Copic marker and a silver gel pen.

Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! (Old Olive), Papertrey Ink (White)
Patterned paper:  My Mind's Eye (Merry)
Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Swanky Snowdudes)
Tools:  Poppystamps (Small Madison Window die), Papertrey Ink (double ended banner die)
Other:  Copic (markers), Sakura (gel pen)

Next up is a CASE of a couple of Amy's cards.  I love how she uses patterned paper to make large banners, and it was a great way to showcase a few of these from the kit.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Aqua Mist, White)
Patterned paper:  My Mind's Eye (Merry)
Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Swanky Snowdudes)
Tools:  Spellbinders (snowflake dies), Papertrey Ink (double ended banner die)
Other:  thread

I hadn't made many tags yet this year, and I thought some of these images would be perfect for them.  We always give a Christmas gift to my brother's dogs, so I know just what I'll do with this one.  :)

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (White)
Patterned paper:  My Mind's Eye (Merry)
Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Santa Paws)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Mat Stack 5, Tag Sale #5 dies)
Other:  ribbon

And two more with those Swanky Snowdudes, which just make me smile.

Cardstock:  Stampin' Up! (Old Olive), Papertrey Ink (White)
Patterned paper:  My Mind's Eye (Merry)
Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Swanky Snowdudes, Christmas Sampler)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Tag Sale #5 die), Stampin' Up! (label punch)
Other:  Copic (markers), ribbon, twine

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Aqua Mist, White)
Patterned paper:  My Mind's Eye (Merry)
Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Swanky Snowdudes, Joyful Greetings)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Tag Sale #5 die), Stampin' Up! (label punch)
Other:  Copic (markers), ribbon, twine, button

Hop along to see what the rest of the 12 Kits ladies made with this fantastic kit!

Wow, were you busy! Look at all those great tags and I think I must be crazy not to have used the Santa inside the polaroid frame! Such a great idea and I also love how you highlighted the patterned paper with the case of Amy's banner card. Great job Christina. Loved them all.

How cool is that Santa!!! I love the stamped polaroid, and that bright red background. Brilliant how you framed the snowman in the window - you're the only one who did that!! Your tags are fab too - another "why didn't I think of that" moment! You really made this kit shine!

I love everything you did with this fantastic kit. How smart to make some tags--I should do that with my leftovers. I especially love that santa in the polaroid frame--wouldn't some child just love to snap that picture. And, what a great idea to put the snowman behind the window--and you even made snow.
