Color Inspiration for Card Makers--Neutrals

Hey there!  Thanks for dropping by tonight.  I can hardly believe it myself, but I have actually completed all of the challenges for the Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week in the Moxie Fab World!  Tonight I give you my last entry, which is for the Neutrals color challenge.  This card also qualifies for the challenge at Do More With Less to stamp on patterned paper (thanks, Dana!).

I didn't have the Bazzill colors, so I interpreted them as PTI's Vintage Cream and Fine Linen, and SU!'s Basic Gray.

I had to get a little creative with the Basic Gray, since I'm out of this cardstock color and only had some 3/8-inch taffeta ribbon.  I decided to make a little ribbon flower by twisting the ribbon and adhering it to a punched cardstock circle.  I finished it off with a button from my stash and a few leaves punched from Vintage Cream cardstock.  I kind of like it!

The Fine Linen Distressed Dots paper was stamped with one of PTI's Fancy Flourishes and a sentiment from Verve's Dream Big set, then stitched to a Fine Linen cardstock mat.  I added a scattering of pearls on the flourish and a line of pearls under the sentiment, then adhered the panel to a Vintage Cream base.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream, Fine Linen)
Patterned paper:  Papertrey Ink (Distressed Dots)
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink (Fancy Flourishes), Verve (Dream Big)
Ink:  Clearsnap (Antique Pewter)
Tools:  Martha Stewart (leaf punch)
Accessories:  Stampin' Up! (ribbon), Michaels (pearls), Spica glitter pen, button, thread, DMC floss

The final touch for this card was to trace over the sentiment and flourish with a clear Spica glitter pen to give it some subtle sparkle.  You can see just a tiny bit of that in the next photo.

I've had so much fun completing these challenges (you know how much I love a color challenge!).  If you missed the rest of my entries, here are direct links to the other 5.  Which one is your favorite?

Thanks again for stopping by!  Have a fantastic weekend!
