Curtain Call Act 41, Mojo Monday sketch 149, & Wee Memories challenge

Wow, that's a mouthful of a title! Today's card is for 3 challenges: the Curtain Call Color Challenge, the sketch at Mojo Monday, and the challenge at wee memories to use chipboard.

How about that inspiration photo for this week's color combo? Be still my heart, those are little crochet covered sea stones! These little beauties were inspired by sea urchins, and you can find out more about them at purl bee.

Besides the cute factor of the photo, the colors this week are just up my alley. My favorite colors are cool blues, and I love anything with kraft! The sketch was a bit trickier, but I decided to give it a try.

Finally, if you haven't checked out the Saturday challenge at Jenny's blog, wee memories, now is a great time! She's also having a giveaway to celebrate reaching 300 followers, which you can read about here.

Okay, on to the card! I think I may have tried to incorporate too much onto this one, because I can't make up my mind as to whether I like it or not. I think the chipboard circles are a bit too large for the card, so it looks a little crowded. But it would make a perfectly nice masculine birthday card, don't you think?

I used Chamomile Tea Dye ink to match the white cardstock to the chipboard circles, which are from Me & My Big Ideas. I don't buy a lot of chipboard, but these came in a cute beach-themed set that caught my eye.

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Enchanted Evening, white)
Stamp: Fiskars (Make a Wish Quotes)
Ink: Papertrey Ink (Enchanted Evening, Chamomile Tea Dye)
Tools: Spellbinders (square die), Papertrey Ink (Linen & Canvas impression plate)
Accessories: Me & My Big Ideas (chipboard)

Things have been a bit quiet in blog-land lately with so many people away at CHA, so I'm looking forward to hearing all about it this week!

Thanks for stopping by today!

This is gorgeous! These colours really do evoke a sea scene - this all fits together perfectly! Your paper strips are fabulous - they add so much, but aren't distracting! Just wonderful!
