CAS-ual Fridays #56--Sponsored by DeNami Design

Welcome back, friends!  This week has just flown by!  My parents are visiting, so I've had very little time for stamping or visiting blogs--I hope you'll forgive me.  *smile*

I had so much fun looking at your blinged-out creations for last week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge, and I know you're going to love the new challenge for this week.  We want to see your clean and simple designs using polka dots or spots!

Our generous sponsor this week is DeNami Design, where you'll find tons of cute rubber stamps.  They provided the DT with stamps for our projects today, and I had a lot of fun working with them.  Thanks, DeNami!

I used DeNami's Polka Dot Circle with my stamp positioner to create a rainbow of dots across a white card front.  Next I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment in black and added scored lines on either side of it and below the row of dots.

As a final touch, I attached a black-and-white twine bow under the sentiment.

Cardstock:  WPlus9 Design Studio (White)
Stamps:  DeNami Design (Polka Dot Circle, Hello Friend)
Ink:  Stampin' Up! (Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo), Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Tools:  Martha Stewart Crafts (Scoring board)
Accessories:  The Twinery (Charcoal baker's twine)

I hope you'll find some time to join us this week with your polka dotted, CAS design!  And don't forget that the rest of the amazing CAS-ual Fridays ladies have even more inspiration for you over on the challenge blog.

Enjoy the start of your weekend, and thanks so much for stopping by!

ColourQ #122

This is my third post of the day.  Please scroll down to see my 12 Kits of Christmas post and my card for Cath!

Happy Tuesday, ColourQ fans!  Are you ready for a "love"ly color combo?  I couldn't resist inking up some sweet little hearts with this palette:

I stamped a grid of polka dotted hearts using a darling little stamp from DeNami Designs in Regal Rose on a white cardstock panel.

Next I cut a strip of black cardstock and heat embossed white hearts across it.  I stamped the heart one more time in Versarmark onto red cardstock and added a "love" sentiment, also from DeNami, then cut it out by hand and attached it with foam tape.

I finished off the card with some Maraschino baker's twine and one of PTI's Tiny Tags.

FYI:  This cutie measures just 4 1/4 inches square, if you're curious about the scale of the stamps.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Kraft, True Black, Pure Poppy, White)
Stamps:  DeNami Designs (Hearts Petit Fours stamp set, Heartfelt Greetings Petit Fours stamp set), Papertrey Ink (Tiny Tags)
Ink:  Stampin' Up! (Regal Rose), Inkadinkadoo (Black), Tsukineko (Versamark)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (tag die)
Accessories:  The Twinery (baker's twine), Filigree (embossing powder)

Won't you join us this week?  I can't wait to see your designs in the ColourQ gallery!

Thanks for stopping by again today!  Have a good one!

Sweet and Sour thank you

Hello!  Just popping in tonight to share a card I made for a sweet blogging buddy, Lisa of Bellalistona.  (Hi, Lisa!)  She was kind enough to send me some fantastic stamps from DeNami Designs, including this fun citrus slice.  Isn't it cute?

I started by stamping the fruit slices across a white cardstock panel and coloring them with my Prismas in shades of lemon and lime (my Stamp-a-ma-jig came in very handy!).  The panel is debossed with PTI's Linen & Canvas impression plate to complement the orange peel texture on the yellow Bazzill card base.

I thought it would be fun to use this "sweet" sentiment from PTI's Signature Greetings to go with the sour fruits!

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (True Black, white), Bazzill (yellow)
Stamps:  DeNami Designs (Medium Citrus Slice), Papertrey Ink (Signature Greetings)
Ink:  Inkadinkadoo (Black)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Linen & Canvas impression plate)
Accessories:  button, DMC floss

That's all for tonight!  I hope to catch up on some challenges tomorrow, so come back soon!  Thanks for stopping by, friends.
