Purple dogwood blossoms

Yep, purple dogwood blossoms.  I've never seen any myself, but I had fun using my creative license to color this beautiful image from WPlus9's Flora & Fauna I.

I had a request from a customer to make a card similar to THIS one, but with a square shape and dogwood blooms in place of the lilac.  She also requested the "miss you" sentiment.  This is the first time I've worked so closely with someone to create a custom card, and I really enjoyed the suggestions and feedback.  I've been feeling a little uncreative lately, so this was a great way to get myself to the craft table with some specific ideas in mind.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Plum Pudding, Ripe Avocado, white)
Patterned paper:  Papertrey Ink (2008 Bitty Dot Basics)
Stamps:  WPlus9 Design Studio (Flora & Fauna I), Papertrey Ink (Mat Stack 3 Collection)
Ink:  Stampin' Up! (Perfect Plum), Clearsnap (Frost White), Copic markers
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Linen & Canvas impression plate), Spellbinders (square die)
Accessories:  Queen & Co. (pearls), Michaels (ribbon), Stampendous (embossing powder), thread

Not sure why the flowers look washed out in the first photo.  I get so frustrated with the way they upload into Blogger sometimes, even when they look great in Photoshop.

Thanks for stopping by with your wonderful comments today!  Have a good one!

Dogwood flower is BC's flower so I"m a bit partial to them :) Lovely colouring of the image and of course, I'm loving the polka dots ;)

Girl, I LOVE when you use purple, 'cause you make me love it more and more! GORGEOUS! And I so wish there were purple dogwoods! I agree about the colors on blogger, they do get washed out :( But this card looks magnificent nonetheless!!!

What a lovely card. I love your style.
By the way, I noticed your comment regarding your frustration with the quality of how Blogger uploads your photos. I too have had the same frustrations. I have found that if I upload the photos on Flickr first and the add them to my blog from there they tend to much more clear. That being said, there are so many things regarding blogging and uploading/editing photos that I'm still learning.
Thank you for the kind comments on my blog post.
