ColourQ #74

Morning, friends!

How did it get to be March already?  Seriously, if we could just get rid of our piles of snow, I might actually believe spring is on its way!

Not only is today the beginning of a new month, but it's time for a new ColourQ challenge!  And I totally cheated on this one.  Maybe it's the afore-mentioned blanket of snow outside that influenced me to use mostly white.  Check out this week's colors:

Last week was one of those crazy, out-of-my-routine kind of weeks that left me feeling the need to make a very clean and simple card.  So that's what I did.  An embossed white background, a simple focal panel stamped a few times with a star from SU!'s Itty Bitty Bits, and a sentiment from PTI's Tag-its #1.

Originally this card was white on white, without the Espresso mat behind the main panel.  I showed it to my dear hubby, who pronounced it "boring".  Hmmm.  Back to the table in a moment of second guessing, I added the brown mat.  The verdict?  I think it looked better without, but I still like this version and think it will be great for one of the guys in my life.

Just not my hubby.  LOL.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (white), Stampin' Up! (Early Espresso)
Stamps:  Stampin' Up! (Itty Bitty Bits), Papertrey Ink (Tag-its #1)
Ink:  Stampin' Up! (Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso), Clearsnap (Cape Cod)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Diamonds impression plate), Martha Stewart (Scoring board), Inkadinkadoo (Stamp-a-ma-jig), We R Memory Keepers (Corner Chomper)

My Stamp-a-ma-jig made it easy to line up the stars.  I also added a scored frame with my Scoring board.

The rest of the Royal Court DT have some fabulous creations to share that are definitely not boring!  Make sure you leave them some love.

I can't wait to see your take on the challenge!  Thanks for stopping by today!

LOVE the CAS Christina! This isn't cheating - it's 'judicious use of design' :0) The texture is beautiful and I can really see this working for a guy card ... and I never ask my DH for card advice. We don't see the art world in the same way! LOL!
