Colour Cue #12 & Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #1

Hello again!  Just a quick post tonight to get this card linked up before the end of the current Color Cue challenge.  I kept putting this one off, probably because of the purple.  Do you have a color that always seems to stump you?

The sketch I used was shared by the fabulous Chupa on her blog as the first of a new Saturday sketch challenge.  I knew from the moment I saw it that I wanted to use one of these vellum butterflies from K & Company that have just been sitting in my stash.  These are so pretty IRL, but hard to photograph!

I started by stamping two of the butterfly images from WPlus9's Flora & Fauna onto kraft cardstock in white and purple.  The purple doily was cut from Plum Pudding cardstock with PTI's Doily Details die, and the Victorian Lace border die was used with Hawaiian Shores cardstock to add a little something extra below the grosgrain ribbon border.

The sentiment is from WPlus9's Spring Post set.  I love that the words in this set are separate stamps so you can mix and match to make your own sentiments.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Plum Pudding, Hawaiian Shores), Bazzill (Kraft)
Stamps:  WPlus9 (Flora & Fauna, Spring Post)
Ink:  Clearsnap (Frost White), Stampin' Up! (Perfect Plum), Inkssentials (white pen)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Doily Details, Victorian Lace border die)
Accessories:  K & Company (vellum butterfly), Papertrey Ink (ribbon), Me & My Big Ideas (rhinestones)

That's it for tonight!  I have to run and post this, then it's time to help my hubby with some grading.  Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a new ColourQ challenge!

Night!
