PDCC #50 & SSSC #88

Hi there!  So glad you stopped by tonight.  I haven't had a chance to get crafty for a few days, as my son celebrated his birthday on Sunday and my daughter has been miserable with a cold all weekend.  So tonight I was determined to do some stamping, and the result is a card for The Play Date Cafe color challenge and Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

I don't often reach for melon, especially with green, but I love how soft and pretty this turned out.  The stamp is the Snowflake Tree from Hero Arts.  I stamped it in green, then heat embossed with a clear glitter embossing powder.  I didn't have any melon colored gems, so I cut circles with a 1/8 inch hole punch from Melon Berry cardstock and adhered them, then added Diamond Stickles to give them sparkle.

The sentiment is from PTI's Signature Christmas, stamped in white and heat embossed with clear glitter powder.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss, Melon Berry, white)
Stamps:  Hero Arts (Snowflake Tree), Papertrey Ink (Signature Christmas)
Ink:  Clearsnap (Lettuce, Frost White)
Tools:  EK Success (border die), Fiskars (hole punch)
Accessories:  Papertrey Ink (ribbon, button), Jo-Ann (glitter embossing powder), Ranger (Diamond Stickles), DMC floss

I've been getting lazy about finishing the insides of my cards, so I'm trying to get back in the habit!  Here's the simple finish to the inside of this one:

I hope those of you in Canada had a lovely Thanksgiving!  Thanks to all for stopping by!  Have a good one!

Hi Christina! Great card! I love that it's so soft even with the green base. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she's feeling better. And belated Happy Birthday to your son!

This is such a pretty card. I love the layout and colours. The tree is wonderful with those melon baubles which look even better than gems and the inside is great too, stunning!

Oh wow, I simply adore your clean & simple style. This card is so elegantly put together and I especially love how you've decorated it inside too. A card that would be given a shelf all on it's own to proudly be displayed :) Px
