Introducing Retro Christmas

Hello, and Happy World Card Making Day!  I am so excited today to be taking part in the countdown to the release of Practicing Creativity's two new stamp sets!  The set I will be previewing is called Retro Christmas, and it is completely adorable and fun to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?

Today's card features the two retro ornaments, which I embellished with my 2-way glue pen and some clear glitter.  I covered them completely with Glossy Accents to seal the glitter and add some shine, and they look gorgeous in person!  I punched a tiny hole in the top of each one, then threaded silver satin floss through the top.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist, white)
Stamps:  Practicing Creativity (Retro Christmas)
Ink:  Clearsnap (Black, Cranberry, Seaglass, Lettuce, Antique Pewter)
Tools:  EK Success (corner rounder), Fiskars (border punch, hole punch)
Accessories:  Jo-Ann (craft glitter), Ranger (Glossy Accents), Me & My Big Ideas (rhinestones), DMC floss

The sentiment is also included in Retro Christmas, and I adore this font!  I added a few red gems below it for more sparkle.  I was still having fits with my sewing machine when I made this, so I just pierced around the edge of the white panel to finish it off.

There is much more Retro Christmas fun to be had at Courtney's blog today!  Make sure you stop by to see creations by design team members Dana, Paulina, and Karen, plus this month's other two guest designers Jackie Solomon and Heather Pulvirenti.  You also won't want to miss a fun contest in honor of World Card Making Day over on the Practicing Creativity Blog.  The winner gets to be a guest designer next month!

Be sure to stop by again tomorrow for the next set of sneak peeks!  I hope you have a chance to get crafty on this World Card Making Day!
