2 Sketches 4 You-Kazan's sketch #62

Hi friends!  I'm back again with another card.  If you missed my earlier post, be sure to scroll down to see a sneak peek of Practicing Creativity's new Retro Christmas stamp set and find out how you can win a guest designer spot next month!

This card is for Kazan's super fun sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You, which includes a decorative edge.  I have done a couple of border punches on card edges before, but I wanted to try something like the one in the sketch.  Here it is:

I have had a booklet of spiral notebook pages by Making Memories for quite a while, so I picked this one with a red trim and fun edge.  I hand cut some Aqua Mist cardstock to frame the die cut paper and added some Distress ink to both.  I just picked up a package of these snowflake stickers in the $1 spot at Michaels the other day, and I was happy to see how well they matched the red on the paper.  They came glittered, but that's a little hard to see in the photo.

I stamped a few snowflakes from PTI's Peace Be Still with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink, then the sentiment in Dark Chocolate.  The lace trim was originally white, but I saw a tip from Debbie Olsen recently to soak it in brewed tea to stain it.  I also rubbed some Chai tea dye ink on it for an extra aged look.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Aqua Mist)
Die cut paper:  Making Memories (spiral notebook)
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink (Peace Be Still)
Ink:  Ranger (Antique Linen), Papertrey Ink (Dark Chocolate, Chai tea dye)
Accessories:  Michaels (snowflake sticker), Papertrey Ink (button), ribbon, lace, DMC floss

That's enough from me!  I know you probably have lots of crafting and blog hopping to do on this World Card Making Day, so enjoy!  See you back here tomorrow for another Practicing Creativity peek and my Curtain Call sample!
