Tuesday Trigger: Button & Make it Monday #6

Evening, folks!  As promised, I'm back with a card tonight.  This one was inspired by this week's Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World, which is this clean and fresh photo of linens wrapped up with button cards.  I combined it with Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday Challenge #6 to use an impression plate to deboss just part of a card.

The natural colored linens in the photo inspired me to use Rustic Cream cardstock.  I partially impressed the bottom of the card base with PTI's Polka Dots impression plate, in a nod to the dots around the edges of the linens.  The buttons made me think of Baby Button Bits, so I stamped one of the sentiments, added a button "o", and stitched a row of Enchanted Evening buttons with jute twine.  I wrapped a thin strip of navy ribbon around the card base, inspired by the blue ribbons in the photo.

All supplies Papertrey Ink unless noted
Cardstock:  Rustic Cream
Stamp:  Baby Button Bits
Ink:  Enchanted Evening
Tools:  Polka Dots impression plate, square die (Spellbinders)
Accessories:  buttons, jute twine, ribbon (stash)

I'm really happy with the way this turned out!  Thanks for stopping by tonight, friends!  Have a great start to your weekend!

This is wonderful! I am amazed that rustic cardstock, twine and dark blue buttons can make the perfect baby card - but it is totally sweet!

Hi Christina...this is such a beautiful card! I usually hesitate to use rustic papers, but you really made your card look modern (and amazing!) Good luck on the trigger! :)

Christina, this is fabulous in it's simplicity. The rustic CS really takes it up a notch and sets it apart form other CAS cards. I seriously am so inspired to try something like this now. Beautiful.

Oh this is fabulous, I'm just about to post my take on these two challenges together- and our cards don't look alike at all, love that.

This is a CAS perfection!!! I can see this layout and color combo being used on lots and lots of masculine cards. I love how that blue looks against the Rustic cream... stunning!
