Morning, friends! I have a sweet and simple card to share today that just puts a smile on my face. I hope it does yours, too! I haven't played along with the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge for a while, so I managed to squeeze it in this week along with the DeNami Color Challenge, both of which end today. I had the good fortune recently of winning some stamps from DeNami. I hadn't tried out their stamps yet, but they are excellent quality rubber stamps with some very cute designs. I thought this darling little turtle would be perfect for their current color challenge.
I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the turtle three times on the white panel and colored them in with my Prismacolor pencils. I don't have anything very close to the lime color specified by the challenge, so I substituted PTI's Simply Chartreuse, which I think looks fabulous with Enchanted Evening. The EE card base is stamped in Versamark with A Little Argyle. The sentiment is also from DeNami, and I heat embossed it in white. Some Chartreuse ribbon tied with a white button adds the finishing touch.
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Enchanted Evening, white)
Stamps: DeNami Design (Mini Turtle, Hello Friend), Papertrey Ink (A Little Argyle)
Ink: Inkadinkadoo (Black), Clearsnap (Frost White), Versamark
Tools: We R Memory Keepers (Corner Chomper)
Accessories: Papertrey Ink (ribbon, button), Stampendous (embossing powder) DMC floss
Coloring medium: Prismacolor Premier pencils, OMS
Don't they look cute all lined up like that?
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day!
