So I am feeling just a little bit ill right now given the fact that it is snowing outside. Seriously?! And we may get 2-6 inches? Someone wake me up when spring actually arrives!
Okay, now that I got that out of my system, how about a colorful card for Heather's Totally Hues Challenge? I'm down to the wire on this one, but I just had to play with this fun combo.
It took a lot of fidgeting with this card before I was happy with it, but I do love the result. I die cut a flower "window" from Plum Pudding cardstock, then ran it through my Big Shot with the Polka Dots impression plate. I stamped the matching Beautiful Blooms II flower through the die cut onto the white card base using SU's Melon Mambo ink. That's topped with a Raspberry Fizz flower and Lemon Tart button.
The vellum strip is stamped and heat embossed in white with a sentiment from Ribbon Tails and embellished with a few green rhinestones that I colored with a YG17 Copic. I scored lines just inside the edges of the strip and adhered it with a 2-way glue pen.
All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless noted
Cardstock: Plum Pudding, Lemon Tart, Raspberry Fizz, white
Vellum: stash
Stamps: Beautiful Blooms II, Ribbon Tails
Ink: Melon Mambo (Stampin' Up!), Frost White (Clearsnap), Copic YG17
Tools: Beautiful Blooms dies, Polka Dots impression plate, Scoring Board (Martha Stewart)
Accessories: Lemon Tart button, white embossing powder (Stampendous), rhinestones (Michaels), DMC floss
Time to run over to Heather's blog and link this up before the challenge expires! Thanks for stopping by tonight, friends!

What a gorgeous card Christina! I have always wanted to die cut a shaped window from my card like you've done with your flower. I must give that a try soon! Great job!
Oh and I can totally get where your coming from about the weather. We have had non stop rain for over a week. My yard is like a slosh pit and there are land slides happening everywhere! Mother nature can be so weird sometimes hey!

I just love it when you use this flower die Christina. You're always brilliant with it! I still haven't gotten it!!!! :(
Love the polka dot impression plate you used and that flower die will be mine shortly :) Fabulous treatment on the vellum strip. Great card and use of the CC. Sorry to hear about the white stuff....ours continues to come in the liquid version - ugh!
Lovely! I like that window ;-)
Tell me about it girl! Spring couldn't get here fast enough for me! This card makes it all better! Love that flower window and the vellum strip!
Ok, you totally ROCKED those colours! I love that embossed purple panel with the flower window. The vellum strip is fabulous especially with that little bit of bling. :)
I agree, I am so done with the snow. Ours mostly melted, then whammo, another snowfall. :(
LOVE how this came together, that yellow CS strip on the side is such a great detail!
You NAILED this challenge, girlie!!! I love the texture and the pop out flower... and your use of purple is just awesome it puts mine (itty bitty) to shame.
Wish I can send you some of our sunshine we have here... sorry to hear about the icky weather!
This is so striking! I really like how you've showcased the embossing on dark paper, it really stands out!
I was down to the wire, too, and finished it on time, but waited too long to link it up :( Oh, well, I'll get it next time :)
Anyway, I LOVE how your card turned out :) The velum strip and the punched out flower with the embossing really make the card. These colors are so cheery together, and we need that since it is not that cheery outside!
SUPER CUTE, Christina!!!
Be sure to check my post tonight - I've got something special for you there! ;)
Such a beautiful use of the challenge colors!!! WOW!!! That vellum strip is a great detail!
