CR84FN19 & FLLCMAR11

Hi-ya, friends!  Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!  This being St. Patrick's Day, day of all things Irish and green, I have a card for you that is.....blue.  Right.  I can assure you I am at least wearing my green today, so no cyber pinches for me please!

This card is for the current color challenge at CR84FN and a challenge at Flourishes to use border punches or die cuts.  Wouldn't I just love to win their gorgeous March release?!

I have to admit I've been in a slump lately.  After several days away from my craft table last week when I was sick, I have had the hardest time putting anything together.  I turned these colors around in my head for several days until I finally decided to make a card for my brother to go with a little care package I'm sending.

I used a color combo of Soft Stone, Basic Gray, Enchanted Evening, and Baja Breeze.  All of the cardstock pieces are textured with the Linen & Canvas impression plate.  I stamped a border using A Little Argyle on one side, then used the largest diamond in the set as a watermark behind a sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages.  The notebook edge punch is from EK Success, a staple in my masculine card-making arsenal.

All of the edges were distressed with the edge of my scissors, and I peeled the cardstock back a bit in one corner, just because it felt a little empty.  Two Enchanted Evening buttons are the finishing touch.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Soft Stone, Enchanted Evening), Stampin' Up! (Basic Gray, Baja Breeze)
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink (A Little Argyle, Mega Mixed Messages)
Ink:  Papeprtrey Ink (Enchanted Evening), Stampin' Up! (Baja Breeze)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Linen & Canvas impression plate), EK Success (border punch)
Accessories:  Papertrey Ink (buttons)

I hope you have a fun day planned!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Girlie, we all have those not-so-fun-slumpy days... But I don't see them present here in this fantastic masculine card! It is the perfect card for these colors.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

That's funny because I have a go-to punch for my guy cards too! This is so perfect for a masculine card. I love the extra little corner element of torn cardstock!

I absolutely love everything about this card's design! The curled corner and the argyle and buttons. It's a great guy card! I hope you're feeling better. It's so easy to get out of the swing of things and sometimes so hard to get back into it. I'm glad you could use this wonderful card for Flourishes Cut Above challenge.
