ColourQ #78

Hi there, friends!  Are you ready for a ColourQ challenge?  This week Arielle has given us a "sweet" color combo perfect for some springtime projects.  Let's dive right in, shall we?

When I made this I was feeling rather low on the mojo, but I was itching to use my newest stamps from WPlus9, Woodgrain Silhouettes and Additions.  I have had these on my wish list for such a long time!

I decided to make a mini card, 3.75 inch square.  The kraft base is stamped with the woodgrain pattern using Early Espresso ink.  Love the dramatic backdrop that this creates.

I stamped one of the leaf images from Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions using Certainly Celery ink onto Celery cardstock, then rounded the corners and distressed the edges.

The main image (from Woodgrain Silhouettes) was stamped on white cardstock with Early Espresso ink and cut out.  The Additions stamp set has the same solid leaf image, so I stamped it onto white cardstock with Certainly Celery ink, cut it out, and layered it over the Espresso one.

I wrapped some striped Pink Pirouette ribbon around the card front, looping it once and adding a button, and stamped the sentiment "for you" just above it.

Cardstock:  Stampin' Up!  (Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake), Papertrey Ink (white)
Stamps:  WPlus9 (Woodgrain Silhouettes, Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions)
Ink:  Stampin' Up! (Early Espresso, Certainly Celery)
Tools:  We R Memory Keepers (Corner Chomper)
Accessories:  Stampin' Up! (Pink Pirouette ribbon), Papertrey Ink (button), DMC floss

What do you think?  Will you play along this week?  I do hope you'll check out the other creations by the rest of the Royal Court DT!  Pop on over to the ColourQ to be inspired and to link up your project to be in the running for this week's Colour Queen!

Thanks for stopping by, my friends!  I will be back later today to share some sweet goodies given to me recently by some blog friends, plus another card.

Have a good one!

Those colors definitely look fabulous together! I have never heard of the stamp company that you used so I'll have to check it out...or maybe that's not such a good idea, LOL. Anyway, I love the way you did the ribbon with the button, also. Great job!
