ColourQ #69

Hello, friends!  I'm back to share a new ColourQ challenge, and I have a feeling this one may cause some of you to run in the other direction!  But never fear, the Royal Court DT has some amazing samples this week that are sure to inspire you.  First, have a look at this fun beaded necklace that triggered this week's colors:

I actually really like this color combo, even though I would have never come up with it myself.  My first take on the challenge wasn't working for me, so I decided to start again and use just a splash of each bright color on a base of kraft, and I love how it turned out.

I wrapped PTI's Terracotta Tile ribbon and SU's Rich Razzleberry ribbon around the kraft card base.  Then I die cut three flowers from Peach Parfait cardstock using PTI's Beautiful Blooms II dies.  I stamped each flower with text in Versamark and added white dots around the edges with a pen.

After layering the blooms with a button and some white floss, I curled up the edges of the top two layers to give the flower a little more dimension.

Cardstock:  Bazzill (kraft), Stampin' Up! (Peach Parfait)
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink (Background Basics:  Text Style, Signature Greetings)
Ink:  Versamark, Stampin' Up! (Rich Razzleberry), Inkssentials (white pen)
Tools:  Papertrey Ink (Beautiful Blooms II dies), We R Memory Keepers (Corner Chomper)
Accessories:  Papertrey Ink (Terracotta Tile ribbon, button), Stampin' Up! (Rich Razzleberry ribbon), DMC floss

I stamped more text with Versamark onto the bottom corner of the card base and stamped a sentiment over it with Rich Razzleberry ink.

What will you do with this week's colors?  I hope you'll find some time to play along, and to leave some love for the rest of the DT.

Thanks for stopping by, my friends!  Have a wonderful Tuesday!
