Waltzingmouse sketch #21

Hi there!  So glad you stopped by tonight!  I have a card to share for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, which has a fun tag element.  Here's the sketch:

I decided to try a soft and shabby look on a Christmas card, using PTI's Vintage Ornaments.  Wouldn't this be fun for a Secret Santa gift?  The tag would be pretty all by itself hanging on a tree or as a bookmark.

All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless noted
Cardstock:  Vintage Cream, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush
Patterned paper:  2008 Bitty Dot Basics
Stamps:  Vintage Ornaments, A Little Argyle, Signature Christmas
Ink:  Chai tea dye, ColorBox (Seaglass), Studio G (pink)
Tools:  Tag Sale 1, Vintage Ornaments, Limitless Layers dies, Argyle impression plate, ProvoCraft (Swiss dots impression folder), Fiskars (star punch, hole punch), McGill (tag punch)
Accessories:  ribbon, Jo-Ann (clear embossing powder, glitter), DMC floss, thread

Here are the details (all pieces are inked with tea dye):
1.  Cut Vintage Cream card base.  Cut a slightly smaller cream panel, stamp and heat emboss bottom half with argyle pattern.  Dry emboss top half with Swiss dots.
2.  To distress satin ribbon, rub with tea dye ink, then spray with water until damp and crumple.  When dry, wrap around cream panel and tie.  Cut, score, and fold a square of patterned paper to make a pocket and stitch to cream panel.  Adhere to card base.
3.  Die cut scalloped circle, punch holes around edge, and coat with glitter.  Die cut and emboss star from blush cardstock.  Die cut ornament from cream cardstock, stamp and heat emboss.  Tie with silver floss.  Layer elements on pocket with foam adhesive.
4.  To make tag, die cut tag from aqua cardstock and emboss with argyle pattern.  Die cut ornament, stamp and heat emboss.  Stamp sentiment and heat emboss, then cut out with tag punch.  Tie ornament and tag with silver floss.  Adhere to large tag with foam adhesive.  Adhere a strip of patterned paper to the bottom of the tag.  Tie distressed ribbon to tag and place in pocket.

I hope you like this one!  It took longer than it probably should have, but I'm happy with the result.  Thanks for dropping in!  Have a great Friday!
