A Birthday Gift

Hi friends!

I had hoped to have a card to share tonight, but I'm just not feeling it lately and decided I'd be better off taking a little crafting break.  Not for long, I hope!  But I do have a little something for you, my dear readers, in place of paper crafted goodness---a giveaway in honor of my birthday!  I don't usually make a big deal of my birthday, but I thought that this would be a fantastic opportunity to share a gift with you as thanks for all of your support and encouragement.

So what's up for grabs, you ask?  I will be giving one lucky follower a $15 gift certificate to the store of their choice, either Papertrey Ink or Stampin' Up!  Think you could find a way to spend it?  If so, leave me a comment on this post telling me what was the best gift you have ever received.

Now for a couple of rules to be fair:  1) Only one comment per person AND 2) Only Followers of my blog are eligible.  (I will have giveaways in the future open to all commenters, but this time I'd like to show some extra love to my followers!)  All comments must be received by Friday, November 12 at 11:59 PM EST, after which a random winner will be chosen.

Thanks again for all of your sweet comments, and just for letting me know you're out there and appreciate what I do here on the blog.  Hope you have a great night, and thanks for stopping by!

I'd sing you Happy Birthday, but you'd delete my comment LOL! Hum it to yourself from me, okay and have your hubby and kids give you a hug from me :)

Thanks for the wonderful celebratory chance to win too! Have a wish list for both options :)

Best gift I ever received was probably either my 18th or 30th birthday. On my 18th I had 18 different guys give me arose through the course of my day on campus. Starting at breakfast, three guys interrupted my Sociology class and gave me a rose each (prof even included the interruption as an example of what he was talking about) in the middle of a class, one guy was dressed in full scuba gear, another played HB on the violin, two in the cafeteria who got the whole cafeteria (about 500 people) to sing me happy birthday, and my final one was a bed time story. I was blessed to have some wonderful male friends who got some buddies to help and made it a day I will never forget. Hope you get spoiled by your crew :)

Hope you have a great few days (or more?) off, enjoy! I think the best ever gift I received was finding out that I was going to have a healthy boy during an ultrasound on my birthday. Does that sound corny? Physical gifts, hmm...I'd have to go with my corner chomper from my last birthday! Thanks for the chance to win!

I don't think I've commented before, but I've followed your blog for quite a while. Your style is right up my alley, and I look forward each post. I hope you have a happy birthday!

The best gift I've received? Hmm. Silly as it may sound, that would be my cat. My husband gave her to me as a gift for our first Christmas together. Lots of sentimental value, I suppose :)

Happy Birthday Christina! I enjoy seeing your name in my GR......but then I might have mentioned it before! LOL I have to say that my best birthday gift was the year my son was born! He was born Dec. 26 and my birthday is the 30th. Couldn't have asked for a better gift!!

Happy, happy birthday, Christina!!!! have a fabulous one, girlie! and how generous are you?!! giving goodies away when it's your Bday. You are too sweet!!

I'm sad to hear you will be taking a break from blogging but I completely understand. Just gonna miss seeing your beautiful creations on a daily basis. You've spoiled me! :)

My best birthday gift has got to be my first craft table that hubby built for me years ago. The true gift was that he understood my passion for this hobby and supported it 100%.

Happy Birthday ... and many more! Thanks for being so generous on your bday.

The best gift was from my hubby. He sneaked into my craftroom and made me a card. He also gave me a GC to Joann's. It was the best card ever!

Hope you have a wonderful day. Many blessings.

Happy Birthday sweetie!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling especially creative, but I certainly do understand (been there done that!) The best gift I ever received? This might sound corny but I'm going to have to say my husband Dave. I truly believe that he was a gift from God. No other person has had an impact on my life like he has, and no other gift could ever compare!
