Hello friends! I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend. I have been away from my computer for a few days, so I'm ready to catch up with all of the wonderful creations that have been posted over the weekend.
I'd like to share a sweet little baby girl card I made for a friend. I used sketch 160 from Card Positioning Systems and the color challenge at Embellish Magazine, which also called for stitching. I am usually looking for ways to add some stitching to my cards, so this was a lot of fun!
Those soft springy colors seemed perfect for a baby card I've been needing to make, and they worked out beautifully! The little baby onesie is hand-cut from felt and machine-stitched around the seams to make it look a little more realistic. I also added some cute little buttons to give it
that final touch.
.
Cardstock and stamps: Papertrey Ink; Kraft: Bazzill; Ink: Jo-Ann stores; Punches: Fiskars, EK Success; other: felt, buttons, DMC floss, string
I'm also working on my photography skills. I get so frustrated trying to take close-up shots with my point-and-shoot! My hubby has a fantastic DSLR that he uses for his research, and I suppose I should learn to use it someday, but for the moment it just isn't a top priority!
Have a fantastic Monday!
