Hello again! I've got another fun post to share with you today. If you've been coming around here for a while, you know that in 2012 I partnered with 11 fellow stampers to bring you The 12 Kits of Christmas. Each month, we create cards and projects for Christmas (and Hanukkah!) using the same supplies.
This year brings a few changes, including the addition of two new crew members, Tracey McNeely and Kelly Schirmer. Please give them a warm welcome, as I'm sure you'll enjoy their creations as much as I do. :)
The other change for 2013 is that we'll be featuring lots of different holidays and occasions, not just Christmas! There will still be plenty of Christmas inspiration throughout the year, with winter holiday kits every other month, but we'll also be bringing you ideas for Valentine's Day, Easter, birthdays, thank yous, fall holidays, and more.
Our first hostess for 2013 is Joyce, who provided us with a darling Valentine's kit full of goodies. Fabulous papers, ribbons, and die cuts galore. Behold:

I'd hoped to create a few more cards this month, but prepping to teach my very first class at the college drained most of my mojo over the last couple of weeks. Lucky for me I have lots of supplies left to make several more projects before Valentine's Day arrives. :)
On to the cards! I've been smitten with this Memory Box die since it came out, so I had to reach for it first.
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy, White)
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Heart Prints), WPlus9 Design Studio (Love You More)
Ink: Stampin' Up! (Real Red)
Tools: Memory Box (Piestra Tile die), WPlus9 Design Studio (envelope dies), Papertrey Ink (heart dies)
Using some strips of the My Mind's Eye papers in the kit, I think this simple little number is my favorite.
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (Poppy Parade)
Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (Lucky in Love)
Tool: Papertrey Ink (XO border die)
Accessories: buttons, DMC floss
This next one is a CASE of a card by Suzanne from last year's November kit.
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Sweet Blush, White)
Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (Lucky in Love)
Stamps: WPlus9 Design Studio (Love You More)
Ink: Stampin' Up! (Real Red)
Tool: Spellbinders (Labels 18 die)
Accessories: button, DMC floss
Perhaps this last one is too simple, but I like it a lot. I left off the embellishments since the sentiment and paper are fairly busy.
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Pure Poppy, White)
Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (Lucky in Love)
Stamp: WPlus9 Design Studio (Love You More)
Ink: Stampin' Up! (Real Red)
Tool: Spellbinders (Labels 4 die)
What do you think of the new 12 Kits format? We hope you'll enjoy finding inspiration for lots of different holidays and occasions in the coming year!
Time to hop around to see what the rest of the gals have come up with!

Four fabulous cards...I love the die cuts...and your layouts are awesome.
Inspiring for sure!!
Christina, your cards are so beautiful. Your first is so sweet with that incredible die and your stitching looks great with the hearts and love letters. But your second card is my favorite, I love how you stitched the strips of paper, it really looks like beautiful ribbon with the buttons and hugs & kisses, so sweet.
Wow, Christina. Your cards are all beautiful. Such fun and clever ways to use the supplies I sent. I love them all, and can't choose a favorite. I will be doing lots of casing of you.
Christina great Valentine cards. Love them all and dies are super duper cute. hugs.
Your cards are beautiful Christina! I love what you did with this kit - the red and blue are beautiful together, the second with the split up glittery xo is perfection - I love the little strips of pattern paper, and the way you tied the red in the sentiment on the third to the pattern paper - they look like they belong together! I always love seeing what you do and am always surprised!
As always they are perfect!!
I love the one that looks like washi tape...
it's so much fun with the glittery XO's!
But they're all perfect...
I always leave here so inspired! :)
I love that memory box die too!! I was so excited to see it in the kit!! You used it beautifully!! Love how you have used the glittery xoxo! I still have mine:):):):)
Great cards, Christina!! I think I like the last two the best, especially the second to last, that placement of the sentiment with that mat stack die is great! And the second card is pretty funky, too!
Fantastic cards, Christina. ;-) I am loving all this aqua and red and white! Thanks for the fun Valentine's inspiration.
Christina all of your cards are so amazing. I love what you did with the Piestra die and the stitching. Your pretty red card with the pieces of patterned paper and the cut up X's & O's is so cute. I have so many more ideas now.
yay! I loved these posts last year and so happy to see them again this year! Great idea to sneak some other holidays in there too! I hope you don't forget St. Patrick's Day! Congrats on the new class! I would say go in with stickers and a fun game, but it's college! LOL I'm impressed!
OMG, there is so much inspiration here! LOVE what you did with the kit. Great idea to die cut the sentiments and cut apart the XOXO strip. Your stitching is, as always, perfect!
Hi, sorry I am so late. Loved all your cards Christina! I like how you cut off the one die that was stamped love. The first one with the tiny envelopes is just adorable and I love the buttons on the next one. Sure was a fun kit!
Christina, I know you said the last one was too simple but it's my favorite! I love the bold chevrons on that red backdrop! Then my other favorite is the xoxo card with all the fun trendy strips of pattern paper! Love your post!
Beautiful cards ALL! I love the simple but elegant style of all of your designs! Gorgeous!
What fresh and fun designs, Christina! I just love the piestra tile layered with the sweet Valentine collage. It all just POPS against the blue background. And how pretty is that blue doily paper!? The offset label with it is brilliant!
