Hello! I'm back with a new card for a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays! It's the first challenge of the month, which means it's your chance to win a Guest Designer spot and a prize from Simon Says Stamp. Yippee!
The challenge this week is "Text Me"--incorporate text into your clean and simple design.
I hadn't used this cute little bird from the $1 bin at Michaels for a long time, and it seemed perfect for the challenge. I masked the bird's feet and the branch so that he could sit on the letter "c" of the word "create", which I stamped using PTI's Outlines Alphabet.
I masked the letters before stamping some flourishes in green, then stitched two straight lines across the bottom. I threaded string through the stitched holes to make a little bow for a simple but sweet embellishment.
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Rustic Cream)
Stamps: Michaels (bird), Papertrey Ink (Fancy Flourishes, Outlines Alphabet)
Ink: Stampin' Up! (Early Espresso, Certainly Celery)
Tools: We R Memory Keepers (Corner Chomper)
I'll be on the road in just a few hours, but I can't wait to catch up on all of my favorite blogs when I make it to Indiana! Thanks so much for visiting today. I'll be back soon!
