Hello friends! Tonight's card is for two challenges: the color challenge at ColourQ and the sketch at Mojo Monday. Here's the inspiration:
I was thinking masculine for these colors, so I pulled out the Guiding Light stamp set from WPlus9. I had this idea to use the three blue colors in a gradient to represent the water, and I nestled the boat down between two of the layers. I'm not sure I'm totally happy with the way it turned out, but I like the rest of the scene.
The blue panels in the background were stamped with the three different sizes of starfish in Versamark. The sentiment is from PTI's Men of Life.
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (Soft Suede, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Marina Mist), Papertrey Ink (white)
Stamps: WPlus9 Designs (Guiding Light), Papertrey Ink (Men of Life)
Ink: Papertrey Ink (Dark Chocolate), Clearsnap (Cape Cod), Versamark
Tools: Spellbinders (circle die), McGill (tag punch), Papertrey Ink (Woodgrain impression plate), Fiskars (hole punch)
Accessories: Papertrey Ink (jute twine)
Coloring medium: Prismacolor Premier pencils, odorless mineral spirits
Okay, got to run and get the kiddos in bed. Don't forget to come back for my Curtain Call card tomorrow, and thanks for stopping by tonight!
