CardPatterns #81

Hi friends!  Just popping in with a card for the CardPatterns sketch.  I took the liberty of making the center circle into a library card instead, but I think you can still see the sketch in there!  *wink*

I started with an Aqua Mist card base, stamped in Vintage Cream with lines from Library Ledger.  I stamped the library card with aqua ink and the sentiment in Dark Chocolate, then layered it on some Library Ledger patterned paper stitched to a layer of Ripe Avocado cardstock.  The die cut flowers have been on my desk forever, and they seemed like a perfect fit for this card.  I added the buttons in the corners at the last second, and I'm still not sure if I like the card better with or without them.  Hmm.  Sometimes I don't like too much symmetry!

All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise specified
Cardstock:  Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado, Vintage Cream
Patterned paper:  Library Ledger, Dotty Biscotti
Stamps:  Mini Scrapbook Series:  Library Ledger, Library Card
Ink:  Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Clearsnap (Seaglass)
Tools:  Beautiful Blooms dies, EK Success (border punch)
Accessories:  ribbon, buttons, jute twine, thread

I like the way the inside turned out, with lines stamped onto Vintage Cream, more LL patterned paper, and a mat of Ripe Avocado.  I think this will be a fun card to give to my daughter's teacher.

That's all for now!  I have a number of projects to catch up on today after nursing my sick little boy yesterday.  But he seems to be all better now!  Thanks for stopping by!

Card works for me :) The library card is darling. I love the flowers - they were sold out when I wanted to order the dies so I'll have to try again some time.

I LIKE the symmetry...it's not usually my thing either, but it works perfectly for this particular card. Love the subtle stamped lines on the base, and that library card! Very pretty.
