WPlus9 color cue & CPS 178

Hi there folks! Have you left a comment for your chance to win some prizes for my 100th post? If not, you can get the details here! Also, thanks so much for all of your color suggestions for my crochet flowers. I'm busy making more! The ones I posted in my Etsy shop yesterday sold out fast, so I posted some more colors today and will have many more soon, so keep checking back!

On to my card: I'm just barely squeaking in with a couple of challenges for today, the Color Cue at WPlus9 Design Studio and CPS #178. Check them out!

I knew I had to use Dawn's Mehndi Medallions set again. These images are so gorgeous, and I love the way they look with this color combo! I stamped three different medallions onto the kraft cardstock in coral, chocolate, and cream, then stamped the border image in chocolate on the Melon Berry cardstock. The focal point features one of the sentiments from the set (which is actually two separate word stamps) stamped over one of the medallions. I die cut this piece with PTI's Mat Stack 2 die and added a scalloped circle behind it, which I cut with one of my Nesties.

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate, Melon Berry), Bazzill (kraft)
STamps: WPlus9 Design Studio (Mehndi Medallions)
Ink: Papertrey Ink (Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream), Inkadinkadoo (Blush), Clearsnap (Creamy Brown)
Tools: Papertrey Ink (Mat Stack 2 die), Spellbinders (scallop circle die), Martha Stewart (scoring board)
Accessories: Papertrey Ink (buttons), Michaels (ribbon), DMC floss

I don't have a slot punch to thread my ribbon through, so I just used a craft knife to cut a slit on each side of the die cut the width of the ribbon. I thought the bottom strip of Melon Berry cardstock looked a little plain, so I added some scoring with my Martha Stewart Scoring Board.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a few more medallions onto a a piece of kraft and layered it over the Melon Berry cardstock. Don't those border stamps look fab? Oh, and everything got a bit of sponging with Creamy Brown chalk ink on the edges.

That's all, friends! We have visitors arriving tonight, but I hope to get my hands inky again at some point! I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far! Thanks for stopping by!
