Hi there! This is my second post today, so if you missed out on my earlier post, be sure to scroll down to find out about my giveaway and new crochet flowers in my Etsy shop!
As promised, I'm back with a card for two challenges. The first is the Embellish Magazine color challenge featuring birds, and the second is the sketch of the week at CardPatterns.
I love how this turned out! Can you believe I found this pretty bird stamp, along with a little flower and the word "happiness", for 50 cents at Jo-Ann?! I stamped it in Dark Chocolate on a Spellbinders label that I sponged with tea dye. I paired it up with some patterned paper from 7 Gypsies and Raspberry Fizz cardstock that I ran through my Big Shot with the Book Print impression plate from PTI. I sponged some Vintage Cream ink over it to make the impression a bit more visible. I added a New Leaf ribbon and some matching buttons, which I think totally make the card!
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate, Raspberry Fizz)
Patterned paper: 7 Gypsies
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo (Summer Assortment), Papertrey Ink (Signature Greetings, Turning a New Leaf)
Ink: Papertrey Ink (Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Chai tea dye), Hampton Art (green)
Tools: Spellbinders (Labels 1 die), Papertrey Ink (Book Print impression plate), Fiskars (border punch)
Accessories: Papertrey Ink (ribbon), buttons, thread, DMC floss
This card will be for my MIL's birthday, so I finished off the inside with a sentiment from PTI's Signature Greetings and a couple of little leaf stamps from Turning a New Leaf, to incorporate the green color.

Eeek, I love the way you incorporated green into this Christina! The ribbon and buttons (with green floss no less) are perfect. I also like that you did the inside...it's like a whole 'nother card in itself!

I am so loving this card! What a fun color combo! I love the pink impressed background! It makes everything pop from the card! Beautiful!
I do like your birdie! Great use of the lace and layers. Just thought I'd let you know, I won't be able to leave comments on all the cards you posted since I had over 150 on my reader before I finally zipped through...I did see very thing, though! Hate to do that...but I had to for sanity's sake!
Oooops! No lace...see I'm confused already! That's what happens when you zip through 150 posts!
I love what you did with this challenge! Great use of the music stamp with the bird image - and your colours are so rich and beautiful!
