Hello there! You've picked a great day to stop by, as it's time to reveal a new Muse for the month of March at CASE Study! And this gal is one of my faves, so I'm thrilled to have her creations as inspiration for the next month. It's none other than Laura Bassen of Doublestick Heaven!

Doesn't her card just make you swoon? For my humble take on it, I focused on using various shades of one color (pink), a stitched accent, and a heart shape.
My starting point for this card was a leftover piece of white cardstock that had a Spellbinders Labels 18 cut out of the center. I die cut the two next smallest labels from Rose Red and Pretty in Pink cardstock to layer behind the white panel.
The card base is Pink Pirouette cardstock stamped and clear embossed with a houndstooth pattern. Before stamping, I die cut a heart to use as a mask. I stitched around it with some white floss and added a pink button.
The sentiment is from PTI's Mat Stack 2 Collection, stamped in Rose Red ink on a double ended banner. Two more buttons were stitched in place before adhering the banner with foam tape.
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette), Papertrey Ink (White)
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Background Basics: Houndstooth, Mat Stack 2 Collection)
Ink: Stampin' Up! (Rose Red), Tsukineko (Versamark Dazzle)
Tools: Spellbinders (Labels 18), Papertrey Ink (Double Ended Banner die, Heart Prints die)
Accessories: buttons, DMC floss, clear embossing powder
Thanks for your visit!
