Color Throwdown #169 & CASE Study #67

Hi there!  I needed to make a card for a wonderful male friend of ours who is having a birthday this week, and the palette at the Color Throwdown seemed just right.  My design inspiration came from the perfectly clean and simple card by Kryssi Ng over at CASE Study this week.

This is the first time I've inked up PTI's Dot Spot, which I had my eye on for ages before I finally ordered it.  There's nothing Earth-shattering about this design, but I'm happy with the way it came out.

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, white)
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink (Dot Spot, Birthday Basics)
Ink:  Stampin' Up! (Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Chocolate Chip), Clearsnap (Cranberry)

I hope you enjoyed your weekend!  Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Who says cards need to be earth shattering? I'm confident your friend will love his birthday card and I too have drooled over this set for awhile.
